Don’t use mp3 files in FCP they are to highly compressed.

    Convert to AAC or WAV.

    Thanks for the quick response…
but I created an AAC version in iTunes and fcp give me a file error warning when I try to import it.
How can I convert the mp3 to WAV?
    Do I use compressor?

    Sorry not AAC but AIFF

    Use compressor or QuickTime Pro.

I converted the file to wav in iTunes but I should learn to use compressor for future reference. Thanks for the information!

Also, you should make the AIFF settings 48kHz and 16bit.
