mp3 clicks and noises
Posted by Daryl Gusterson on February 1, 2011 at 11:36 pmHello,
I have clicks and noises coming thru on mp3s when I use them in Vegas Pro8.
These same mp3s are clean when played thru media player. It also comes thru after it is rendered.
I have a new computer and have tried to keep it clean. (I haven’t loaded in any codec packs)
Please help.

Curious – did the rendered file play all right in your media player?

I’m thinking about reloading my audio drivers.
I will let you know.

February 25, 2011 at 4:59 pmHi Daryl,
You can try reinstalling the drivers for your audio card, but if it’s playing correctly in other media players, I suspect it’s something else. Do you have any codec packs installed? Sometimes those interfere with stuff in Vegas. You could also try reinstalling Vegas (or upgrading if you are able to, to a more current version).
Let us know how it goes =)

February 27, 2011 at 3:37 amThanks for your help, Deirdre,
it turns out, I loaded the 32bit audio driver and not the 64bit.
As soon as I loaded this driver in it has settled down and it seems to be fine.I will keep an eye (ear) on it tho, and let you know.
Thanks again.
