the compressor problem with AIFFs has been mentioned before in posts, i believe its an update thing. It used to work fine for me, the batch window never bothered me and you can close it anyway. But since the new quicktime came around its has started cutting off the ends of files! I am sure it will be fixed soon just as soon as apple finish playing with the iphone, and ilife….and etc.etcnick

Nice that “TOO MUCH TOO SOON” worked out for you;-)
Ive had the same issue with mp3 to aiffs with dropplet.
The solution is: instead of using a aiff preset – use Quicktime movie and modify it- dissable video and set audio extention to .aiffIm working on a Xsan – and all the clients have the same dropplett in the shortcut area to the left in the Finderwindow. You can set destination either to a “converted mp3s” folder – or “same as original”
Works swell.
Ive altso an “from mp3” extention to the filename. (in case of hickups)
and you can dissable the “show at launch” window. so everything is automated.Lykke til!

January 21, 2009 at 4:37 pmYes Andreas, I too have searched far and wide for a quick, easy way to convert an mp3 file to aiff at 48khz. Opening it in QT then exporting it just seemed to be a very time consuming situation. Lately I’ve used AudialHub which does a fine job (BTW it is no longer being supported, you’ll probably have to get a copy from a torrent) but still seemed a little more steps than it should require. I’ve also tried this applescript, it’s a little old but does the same thing as AudialHub.

April 10, 2014 at 3:42 amHi Anders,
I was able to get it to work with the trial version of Faasoft(https://faasoft.com/articles/aiff-to-mp3.html)which can batch convert mp3 to aiff and vice versa. I don’t know if there’s a better option.
