I regularly move a great deal of media back and forth, in and out of multiple RAID drives tied to the same MAC. I can’t always identify all the directories, highlight, and drag all at once. So, I will identify directory 1 and start the copy/paste, identify directory #2 (while directory #1 is copying) and start the 2nd copy/paste, and so on. Because these directories can take hours to copy, I eventually end up with 6, 8, 10 copy/paste actions going simultaneously all at once. And the actions always complete fine, no issues. Or is there?

Could I be inadvertently stressing Premiere Pro’s linking/access performance by having same-Project files saved randomly all over the RAID drive because they were not copy/pasted one single media directory at a time in a linear drag-and-drop process? Or does it matter that clips are scattered over a RAID this way and once Premiere is linked to clips, it’s all about the Mac Processor, not where the clips are stored?

    Appreciate any insight on this.
