I recently discovered that instead of using the scroll bar to move vertically within the timeline in SVP, you can simply press the CTRL key while scrolling with the scroll wheel on your mouse.

Is there something similar I can do while in the timeline to move horizontally? I’d like to be able to move horizontally within the timeline without having to drag the scroll bar, or click the left or right arrows. It’d just be quicker.

    Thanks.

Shift-Wheel seems to move the timelines left/right for me …

The mouse wheel can be used for various things. You can also click the wheel in the timeline to autoscroll.

Look at Help > Keyboard Shortcuts for a list of mouse wheel functions (bottom of the help page)

Great little bits of information there….the shift and ctrl
keys used in combination does tons of stuff, the one i like
is while dragging transitions and effects to the timeline, i hold
down the shift key…sometimes when im in the flow, the pop up
    windows gets a bit annoying….lol
