Moving with Motion
Not sure the best way to reach Stephen Smith about a question from his dvd ?
In the beginning of chapter 8 where you have a paint write on effect happening, is that
an image that was put in under style/outline, and if so what image? I watched the rest
of the chapter and made a nice paint write on, but nothing that looked like the tease in the
beginning. Please help. -

Yes I am, nice effect.
I can see you have used a mask as well, but what was used for the fill of the write on & how? (if that makes sence) -
I used the Shape Style Preset: Liquid, Ink Dilate 01.
I recall I duplicated the video clip of myself and placed the paint stroke in-between the two clips. Made a mask on the clip on top to cover up part of the paint stroke.

The Shape Style Preset: Liquid, Ink Dilate 01 was what i was after, thanks,
by the way which sound effects from sound track pro did you use, because it was right on the money? -
That sound effect came from Video Copilot’s Designer Sound FX. A great SFX library in my opinion. The two SFX I put together to make the one are from the Swishes part of the library. And they are:
1st–Torpedo
2nd–Windy SwishHope this helps.
