I have just upgraded from FCP 7 to FCP X and noticed that FX apps like Magic Bullet’s LooksBuilder Quick Looks app did not move to FCP X effects. I still have FCP 7 in a separate folder for old projects but would like to access Quick Looks in FCP X. It does not appear under the Effects tab there. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

Quick Looks is not compatible with FCPX.

A quick check of the RedGiant web site shows that Magic Bullet Quick Looks 1.4 supports:

Apple Final Cut Pro 6, 7
    Apple Final Cut Express 4
    Apple Motion 3.02

You’ll need to full Magic Bullet Looks for FCP X support.

Thanks for your replies. I guess Red Giant is thinking maybe it’s time to step up to the Looks Suite,
    or Colorista?

Any plugin that worked in 7 would need to be completely redone for X so it’s not really a Red Giant specific move.
