    Hey,

Is it possible to add semi realistic moving lips to say… Oh I don’t know, a Furnace!?! without creating the furnnace in a 3d app?

i’m not sure that lips on a furnace is ever going to look realistic…

if you don’t have a 3d app, i think i’d try to create a simple furnace in ae, using 3d solids to create the sides, and a few more solids with textures for some grills or vents. then try to create a simple cartoonish face for your furnace. ae isn’t particulaly good a 3d modeling, but if you keep it very simple and have that be your theme, you may be able to create something much better than trying to create realistic lips on a shot of a funace.

Dave suggestion can be killer in the right situiations, here’s an example including eyes too:

Here are four other solutions from an earlier post:

    1) Aharon’s time remapping phonemes to mouth shapes.

    2) Audio drives position of a lower lips/jaw layer, ala Monty Python

    3) Audio drives CC Split.

    4) Crazy Talk.

[Dave LaRonde] “…it was made in the same cheezy, bizarre manner by the same folks who brought you Clutch Cargo…”

…and his pals, Spinner and Paddlefoot.

    :o)

I forgot all about Space Angel. Now there were some crappy cartoons!
