Please tell me there’s a way to move an item in the canvas without going into the Effects/Motion tab. And – Is there a way to constrain movement to one axis while dragging, rather than using the numeric sliders?

    Many thanks,

    – Will

I see this was from a few years ago but did you ever get an answer to this? I can’t believe this basic feature isn’t simply a shift click and drag like other Adobe/NLE apps!

Where’s all this seamless integration? 🙂

Think you may have missed the question here…

How to do it ‘without’ going into the motion tab and how to constrain the wireframe mode.

You can double click in the canvas to get wireframe up but still no constraining which is what I was asking about.
