This is something I have done hundreds of time with no problem. On this occassion however it results in a jerky movement across the frame. I am working in AE CS3.

The graphics are all from photoshop. I have a number of pics reduced and inserted into a comp (something akin to a filmstrip) which moves from lhs of frame to rhs of frame. Ram preview gives a better picture but the actual render (into QT) and resultant playback in Premiere CS3 results in a very jerky motion with degraded quality of the pics. (They have been reduced from 300dpi to 144dpi in photoshop) I have tried rendering without field render and with lower field render for PAL with no improvment. Frame rate is set to 25 fps. Also pgm will not allow me to select frame blend.

Machine is a 2.33GHz Quad core with 4gB memory with ASUS 98000GTX card. SAMSUNG 932GW monitors (the only change in the system am wondering if I should go back to VGA) 3gB switch enabled. Running XP3. Drives are SATA and I am working in DV so there should be no stress on the drives. Would really appreciate some advice on this one as client will be viewing on monday.

Many thanks for your quick response – unfortunately the company that client normally uses is shooting with DVCAM and the whole media distribution process is geared for receiving a DV file…we are the new kids on the block for two months but it did bring to mind that we usually edit DVCpro50 in most cases so this could be an issue.
However I shall experiment with speeds as you suggested. Would not like to change the design of logo at this stage.

    Many thanks once again
