  • moving footage imported at the wrong frame rate into a new project

I accidentally imported HD footage shot at 30fps into a 24fps project. The footage was all imported Quicktime movies from a hard drive.

Edits have already been made, but I noticed that the footage was stuttering.

Now I want to create a new project with the correct 30fps settings and be able to bring in the bins from the old project, so that I can batch import the media at the correct frame rate. I keep getting errors when I try to do this.

    Any advice?

Are you on V4 of Avid, if so and your working in 24p, and the 30fps HD vision needs to be converted. You need to open a 30 project import your QT files then close and go back to your 24p project Open the bin from the 30 project and replace the vision, I don’t if relinking will work but give it a go…Paul H
