    Hi,

I did a quick search but couldn’t find a specific thread that gave the workflow.

We sound synced and did a rough assembly of our film (Red raw files) in Premiere pro before we had secured an editor. We are trying to move as seamlessly as possible to AVID for our editor. I know Avid needs everything transcoded and then I can possibly export the EDL to regain my synch sequences and assembly.

Has anyone ever dealt with moving from Premiere Pro to Avid with Red files? If so, what would be the easiest (most fool-proof) workflow?

    Thank you!

Yikes! Difficult enough to move entire projects over with single system worflows. Double system brings on a whole other world of headaches that may end up not working anyway.

Did these shots have common timecode? Since that may need to be redone in MC. You could try assembling all your shots into a timeline and exporting as AAF then importing that into MC and see what you get. Report back and we’ll move to next step.
