moving FCP library without the connected media
I would like to either move the Library or the projects if it is possible to another hard drive. My problem is the Library is very large. I would like to send a project or Library without any media in it and I’ll reconnect the media later. Is this possible?

Is the media managed, generated, or external?
If it’s managed, you’ll have to consolidate the media out of the library, then make a new library on the destination hard drive, then drag what you want from the current library to the new one (or select what you want and use the File >Copy…. commands.
If it’s generated or external, so the same as above without the consolidation step.
