    Moving Clips/Playhead using timecode in Timeline

    Hello Everyone,

    I am using FCP 7.0.3

    I am trying to move either my clips or playhead in the timeline by using
    timecode with my numerical keyboard but no luck at all.

    I have tried with the Timeline active, selecting a clip, making sure there is no
    clip collision, etc, etc. The Playhead doesn’t even move. I would start typing
    the timecode on my numeric keyboard but the ‘Timecode entry field’ wont show in
    my timeline either.
    When a clip is selected in the timeline and I type in timecode, as soon as I hit
    enter on the numeric keypad it does a matchframe of the selected clip in my
    timeline and load the clip into my browser.

    Any ideas would be appreciated

    weird. have you tried resetting your keyboard to the default layout?

    Why didnt I think of that….Thanks, that sorted it out.
    Now I have the task to remap the whole keyboard again.
