I understand the concept of connected clips, but why can’t I simply move the clips that are on top of the bug, below it? What gives?

Also the program keeps crashing when modifying text. Anyone else experiencing this?

If you want to move a secondary storyline you have to select the storyline itself and not the clips inside.

then drag up or down. hold shift while dragging to prevent sliding left/right.

What happens when you try to move it?

Why not move the bug above?

What font are you using? Open Font Book and validate your fonts to see if you have any corruptions.

If not, try a different font just to see if it stops crashing. When it crashes, what does the crash report say?

I know I am stating the obvious but you could just grab your bug and move it above.

Also I have done some projects like this that need watermarks and I actually compound clip the entire timeline and then put the but on the compound clip, and edit inside the compound clip timeline.
