I have a 15 second clip. I only want to use from second 4 to second 8 (4 seconds) so I created an “IN” and “OUT” point to correspond with that timeframe. I now would like to move the entire clip forward in the time line so the “IN” point of this layer matches the “OUT” point of the layer above it. The clip seems to be moving in the timeline but my “IN” and “OUT” points are not moving along with the clip. They seem to be static. Is there a way to move a clip in the timeline and have it’s “IN” and “OUT” points stay relative to the clip and not the composition? Thanks!

If you select the layer and go to where you want the IN to be and press the “[” key the layers in point will jump to that location.

You can also nudge the layer into position using

Option/Alt Page Up = Left 1 frame at a time
Option/Alt Page Down = Right 1 frame at a time
Option/Alt SHIFT Page Up = Left 10 frames at a time
Option/Alt SHIFT Page Down = Right 10 frames at a time

    I hope this helps
