Moving Audio CD Track Markers
Using Vegas 9.
I have an audio CD layout that I’ve created, with 98 tracks, each of which is meticulously placed. It’s a Disc At Once cd, so all the tracks need to flow seamlessly from one-to-the-other with no silence in between.
Now I need to change the audio on track 1, and the new audio changes the length of the track. When I make the changes, even using “insert time,” “lock envelopes to events,” etc…. The audio moves appropriately but the track markers stay locked on the time they were originally set at, instead of moving with the audio.
Is there a way to lock the CD track markers to the audio? Or do I really have to go back and spend all that time carefully repositioning them, only to do it again when my client requests another change? It literally takes about two hours to get them just right.

You can select all the markers (click the first one and then Shift click the last one) and move one to adjust for the adjustment and then all of the other markers should follow suite.

It lets me select them, but not move them. When I try to drag them, they’re locked in place.

I just set up a test file and used cd track markers (the n shortcut key). I made 5 sets and selected the first and shift selected the last. I clicked and held the mouse button down on the first track marker and moved it left and right and dropped it a few seconds down the timeline. All the rest moved with it.
Are your tracks embedded in your audio file? Can you upload a screenshot of your timeline?

I tried exactly the same thing you describe, but my track markers are locked for some reason unless I move them individually.

As a troubleshooting step, make a new project, place markers on the timeline and see if you can select them all and move them. If so, we need to figure out what is “locking” your markers in this particular project. If not, then we need to figure out if you have a corrupt install of Vegas 9 or if you need to upgrade to the latest version of 9.
