  • Moving a word or group of words within the paragraph in CS4

    Hello everybody,

Indesign CS3 used to have this preference that allowed to select a word or a sentence or any number of words for that matter and drag them to reposition them in a different part of the paragraph, very similar to the way you do it in Word or even Mail. You only needed to select the text that you intended to move and the cursor would change to a small thick arrow, then you could move it and once you release the mouse the text would be on its new position.

I was trying to do the same today with Indesign CS4 and I haven’t been able to do so, as soon as I click on the selected word, it gets deselected right away and the cursor is always an I beam waiting to input more characters, not the thick arrow.

Does anyone know how to get this useful feature back?

    Best,

    D.

All of the vim with none of that annoying vigor.
