Moving a timeline from AVID to AE
Does anyone have a method for getting clips from an AVID timeline easily into AE?
I can certainly export video, but I want to have handles in AE. Its going to be a whole lot of short shots and would be much easier if I have the option of trimming it in AE.

Automatic Duck is included with Ae, starting in Ae CS6.

Export an AAF from Avid, then File > Import > Pro Import After Effects…

As Walter says, Pro Import After Effects (from Automatic Duck) is now included with After Effects.
