I hope what I am explaining is clear but here it goes. I have modeled a hydrolic shock with a and that attaches to a foot. I then created a spline and did a sweep to make it look like a rubber hose. I attached 1 point to the shock and the other to the foot. Whent eh shock contracts is there a way to make the hose move with it? Is there a way to attach points to different parts of a model and when you move them the spline will move with it as it contracts?

I hope that was some what clear.

You can pin points of splines to objects using XPresso (link the world position of your reference Null to the World position of a point node). Another way is to use MoGraph’s Tracer object. If You have MOCCA, Clothilde might also work.

I will try Xpresso. I started learning that the other day but it is very cool tool.

    thanks.

Xpresso would work but it might not look realistic. Do you have any modules? You could do this easily with the Hair Module’s spline dynamics, or you could do it with Mocca (soft IK chain), or you could do it with Clothilde. Even if you don’t have Mocca it might work okay using standard bones/IK.

No, no mods yet. I am getting some soon though.
