  • Moving a camera’s position without altering key frame movement

I am new to Cinema 4D (R17), I am well versed in After Effects (10+ years). I tracked some handheld camera footage and when I put that camera in my scene, I need to adjust it to capture the objects. However when I change the position it doesn’t alter all the key frames and jumps back to the original position after a frame. I know in after effects if you high light all of the keyframes and move your object it updates them all to the new position. I tried doing this in cinema 4d but it didn’t work. I tried googling this as well so my apologies if there is an existing answer to this question.

You need to be in animation mode when you move the camera (Tools>Modes>Animation). When you’re in animation mode you can move objects and their keyframes will come along for the ride.

Another option would be to put the camera in a null and move the null instead of the camera.

Thank you for your response. I tried to do both but the camera still “jumps” back to its original position. I will continue to tinker with it as I am a newb.
