Could someone please help an idiot-I have created a video of a band-used a multi-track recorder for audio, then synced the two together in Movie Studio 12-no problem-but when I go to DVD Architect it won’t let me drag and drop my project-It has a Sony icon with a lock on it. If I drag the video (pre synced in Vegas) it goes into Architect fine-but then of course it isn’t edited and doesn’t have the mixed sound track. Am I saving my project wrong or something? Thanks much-this is driving me nuts!

In Vegas Pro you don’t IMPORT Vegas Projects, you import Rendered Files. Is this not the same for Studio?

    Cheers

what I am saying is I sync my audio and video no problem in Studio but CANNOT figure out how to get them into Architect-the Sony icon in the folder created by Studio has a lock on it-I’m sure the rendered audio and video tracks are stored somewhere else as well but how do you find them?

What Grazie (Graham) is saying is that your project file and your rendered files are two completely different things.
The project file contains all the information about the assets used in the project but that’s it.
You need to render your project into something that DVD Architect will accept and that is usually two files, an MPEG-2 for your video and an AC-3 or WAV (i.e. PCM) for your audio.
Give both the same name (e. myvideo.mpg and myvideo.ac3) and render them both to the same folder. That way, when you load your video file into DVD Architect, the audio file will automatically follow.

Thanks_I thought that Studio was doing that-I chose those type files when I started and then Studio rendered it and automatically opens Architect after I chose Make a movie with menus at the beginning-I guess you’re saying in order to use Architect I have to render the video and audio SEPARATELY-I’ll try THAT-thanks much (guess it’s not as automatic a process as I thought!)
