I would be very grateful if step by step instructions could be given for producing a progressive pal dvd using Movie Studio 6 and DVD Architect Studio 3.

I have experimented with settings but whenever I render my pan and crop slide-shows an interlaced MPEG2 file is the result.

My DVD player can output 720p and my TV can accept 720p but I can’t make a 720p disc!

You may have to upgrade to the full version of Vegas. I know you can’t access the “Custom” settings in the Movie Studio versions which is where you would typically change that. If you don’t have a preset for it, you need to upgrade.

    Edward,

Thanks for replying again to my posting.
You’ve confirmed what I guessed. I couldn’t find any more settings to experiment with; but it’s strange having under ‘Project Properties’ a ‘Progressive’ setting under ‘Field Order’.

Can you recommend an upgrade procedure?

    Render properties override Project properties.

    Edward,

I understand. Thanks for your help. I’ve downloaded a trial of the Platinum Edition. I can now render as progressive (avi), now I have to research how DVDA will produce a progressive disc!

Please note that the “Platinum” is still a “Movie Studio” version and not the FULL “Pro” version so there’s still limitations over the full version.
