Move/slide layer without moving keyframes
Sorry if someone has already answered this, I searched but couldn’t find anything. I could swear that I used to know a shortcut to move/slide a layer in the timeline without moving the keyframe position, but I can’t remember how to do this. Does anyone know?

I don’t recall the proper AE terms and am not sure I correctly understand what you’re asking, but try this…
Without any keyframes selected, put the cursor over the part of a layer that extends beyond the outpoint. When the cursor changes to a bracket-like cursor, slide that part of the layer in either direction and adjust the in/out points accordingly.

Yes, thanks, that’s what I’m talking about … however, I believe there is also a keyboard shortcut that does this that is sueful when there are no visible handles in your comp.
