  • Move position of multiple layers?

Posted by Josh Dekay on November 22, 2014 at 2:40 am

Hey there, newer to AE here.

    Silly question:

I have multiple layers in a comp. All with various keyframes for various properties. How do I move them *all* up (y axis) at the same time, the same amount, in one go?

I keep adding new keyframes when I move them.

    Thanks –

the easiest way is to parent them to another layer that doesn’t have keyframes for position and then move that layer.

try creating a new null, parent the layers that need to be moved to it and then move the null. you can even delete the null once you have everything positioned the way you want and the layers will stay in place.
