I have a rather large project, and I tend to go back and insert some small things (green band, etc) at the beginning of it.

This means I have to highlight my entire project and move it over to make room for the new clips at the beginning. The problem is that I use a LOT of markers when I’m working on my projects, and those do not move with the clips when I move them. That means that after moving everything all my markers are now useless and out of place.

Is there a way to make the markers move along with everything else? To select everything I’m just using ctrl+A, but it does not select the markers and shift clicking them afterwards doesn’t work either.

Enable Auto Ripple (tool bar icon) and make sure that either option 2 (Affected Tracks, Bus Tracks, Markers, and Regions) or option 3 (All Tracks, Markers, and Regions) is selected.
Remember to disable it after you’ve used it to insert something.

Hi, I have a similar issue, except that I don’t want to do move my entire timeline, just the given clip with its marker.

When I do long interviews, I will separate it into several one-minute or so clips and use markers to remind myself what the person says at which point. Afterwards, I re-arrange the clips to make the narrative I want. As it is, I have to move the clip and then its marker independently, which is a pain, especially since I have over a hundred clips with markers in the timeline of my current project.
