Move and animate vertices altogether
Hi,
first post☺, after effects cc 2018I’m in a situation for which I didn’t found anything on internet, where I want to animate a group of vertices from different shapes and layers,
to simulate the resizing of a “windowed” application.
The selected vertices must maintain the same distance one from the other.Here’s the project structure:
Each shape layer (blue) is identical to the one selected, and corresponds to a rectangular path on screenI am able to select multiple vertices, but only if they’re part of the same layer.
Could you please suggest me an approach I could follow to achieve what I’ve described?
it’s okay If I have to change everything, and I don’t have specific directions or limitations to follow, all I need is the plain output.I apologize for the italian screens, but I haven’t been able to change my adobe applications’ language (and I find that rather stupid, it makes learning from mostly-english documentation extremely difficult and annoying, as I always have to guess translations),
also, I probably should say I’m quite new to ae, I have used it mainly to write expressions and that’s it.Anyway, here’s the project file:

Sorry for the late reply, I didn’t notice the mail.
I had already tried to resize the panels, or precomp, but that stretches out everything: borders, ecc.I’d like to move the vertices, and mantain the shapes’ integrity

If I precompose, unless I’m doing something wrong (and that’s quite likely), I come out with this:
I’ve drawn on the bottom the stretch effect I’m talking about.
Also, I’d like to move only the vertices selected in the green area (see the first image), not everything -
Anyone?
