    You can copy/paste keyframes. Try highlighting the set of keyframes in question, hit command-copy, delete them where they are, move your cursor to where you want them to be, hit paste.

    Thanks, but it’s not the keyframes I want to move, but rather the object as a whole including the keyframes.

    NESTING is my new best friend, again.

    Nest the clip then I can select the nest and move it around the Canvas to my hearts content.

    Woohoo.

    Beware the seduction of nesting in FCP7. It has led others to madness.

    LOL.

    yep, I can understand that.
    I’ve quite a complicated sequence of things coming in and moving about, so I’ve now ended up with nests within nests – so, yes, you do need to keep your wits about you.
