    verision..Sony Vegas Pro 8

footage was shot from a Canon T2i

    file format is .mov

i had an issue earlier..with a black screen with audio…(quicktime ver 7.6.6…..switched to 7.6 ….now my vegas playback is choppy with audio playing perfect…

what do i do to edit this damn thing with smooth playback…

side note… windows 7 media player plays perfectly fine and smooth quicktime plays back as sony does real choppy…

simply try doing bit by bit changes in the quicktime preferences, and see
if things improve…dont have the time now to go in great details….but toggle
around with the varied options there.

For smooth playback you have a couple of options. You can transcode your clips using software like cineform neoscene or you can use DVFilm EPIC which will give you real time playback without transcoding.
