    Hello,
just jumped from FC forum over here…
I have to have a .mov on a shape i can tweak in Bézier mode and can’t find how to get this movie on the shape’s surface… No drag n’drop there, it seams…
Can someone help me how to do that?

PS Tried with bulls eye filter, but it’s a disaster…

Why not just use a bezier mask over the .mov?

Over? This will not change the stretching of the pictures..!?!? It would rather be the .mov to be maped on a Bézier shape, it seams. But how to do it?… that’s the question…

Sure, just draw the bezier however you want the “shape” to be and then you can animate it.

In fact, idealistically, what i should be able to do is to have my .mov “projected” on a cylindric convex shape… This would correct the vertical squeezing in the middle of frames.

Can this be done in Motion? If not wich app could handle it?

Well, in Motion you could try using the Distortion>Bulge filter and tweaking the parameters. Or maybe play around with the Displace filter and adding a “convex cylindrically-shaped” gradient to its image well.

(If you have extra funds to play with, I can recommend Shake. It has a special Warp section with LensDistort and PinCushion nodes to deal with lens aberrations and stuff like that.)

Or you could even use the patented Steve Jobs “Reality Distortion Field” that gets rid of most problems by simply wishing them away! 🙂

I could badly need Steve Jobs patent… but it’s a rare gift!! 😉
Could use Shake at friend’s studio… but i’m sure it would take me a lot of time just to get Shake’s UI back in mind! ;p
I tried the Bulge Filter but coudn’t get it nice vertical as needed.
Your idea with the gradient might be the thing… i’ll try this one out tomorrow!

I also could just go beack in Blender and maybe rotoscopy the .mov on a cylindrcal shape… That’s another trail…

Finally i made a rotoscopy on a convex (quarter cylinder) mesh. This corrected the image apparearence.
