I have a newb question that I can’t figure out. I have a depth of field effect I”m working on and I have imported a .mov. I would like to know how to make the very last frame of my .mov stay for the duration of the entire composition, even after the video is finished playing. Do I need to render the last frame separately and use a jpeg? I would assume there’s some way in AE to do it.

I have no problem doing this with images, simply extend the end of the image’s timeline. How do I do this with a .mov?

You want to enable time remapping. cntl-alt-t or under ‘layer’/’time’.

When enabled it will put keyframes at the first and last frame. Change the last keyframe to a hold keyframe, select &”cntl-alt-h”. Now just extend the layer to end of composition.

Excellent! Thank you! What are some other forums I can check out for AE stuff? CCow seems to be a little limited on searching etc like phpBB sites.
