MOV issue
I was on a website last night; a really old website that looked like it was from the 90s and it asked me to install a Quicktime plugin to view its content, which I perhaps foolishly did.
I then couldn’t view my DSLR .mov files on my Vegas timeline; it would work ok for a moment then the preview screen would flicker then go black.
I reinstalled the newest Quicktime(Feb 14 2014), which didn’t help, so I then uninstalled then reinstalled the newest Quicktime, and now it plays on the timeline, but it is now plays out of sync! (it is a frame or two behind the audio)
When I selectively pre-rendered parts of the file to a different format(I rendered to a PAL DV file) the sync was fine.
I am supposed to deliver a project tomorrow, so any help would be a life saver…..

Try a system restore to a date prior to this malicious installation.
