mov import to DV
Posted by Jim Finn on April 2, 2008 at 1:59 pmI have been having issues exporting and so I’m making an mov file and then i’ll bring it in. But the original sequence was HDV. Can i import the mov into a DV sequence or will it anamorphically mess with it? How can i keep it letterbox if so.
thanks, jimJim Finn replied 18 years, 1 month ago 2 Members · 6 Replies -

April 2, 2008 at 2:55 pmI exported it as a self-contained quicktime mov Current Settings from an HDV sequence. Should I have exported it as something else.

April 2, 2008 at 5:03 pmIf you export it self contained, then bring that back into FCP, and drop it into a DV sequence and render, it should appear letterboxed.

April 2, 2008 at 5:19 pmIt won’t look sharp…DV is worse looking that HDV…by far. Your eyes are too used to HDV. I had this shock after working with DVCPRO HD for 2 years. Gaaaaag!
