Can you give us a hint?
What happens? Any error messages? Where did these QT files come from? What CODEC are they using? Will that play in the QT player?

It was working fine the last time I opened the project.

After effects error “CJ115.mov” cannot be opened, it may be an unsupported format

I think the majority of problems between AE and QT 7.4 has been during rendering. Most commonly rendering stops and errors after something like 10 mins of rendering.

Does the same file open in QT by itself?…outside of AE?

You didn’t by any chance trim your source clip by a few frames and then run the autotrace for the super-tight junk matte?
I’ve seen it to where it will trace the footage from the beginning of the source rather than the current in point of your source footage…causing the autotrace matte to be off by the “trimmed” number of frames.
