    Hi,

    For high quality dvd with 2 hour movie and other files in dvd authoring, should imported files be h264 when importing into encore?

    It appears there’s no way to export a 2 hr h264 movie file, or some other alternative, in fcpx that would be small enough and qualitative enough to import into encore for dvd creation. Is it standard to have to go to compressor to get the right sized file. If so, what would be the ideal target and maximum bit rate settings to use in compressor?

    DVD spec for a video DVD (as opposed to Data DVD) is mpg2 video files with Dolby AC3 or PCM audio files. If I did this correctly, here is a link to EXCEL file that will calculate your data rate needs, including any additional ROM content:
