.Mov files by Panasonic AF100 won’t import into Premiere/colorspace?
Hey guys, I’m using Windows and I’m trying to import video files that were saved onto a card via the Panasonic AF100 camera. The files won’t import into Premiere and my Adobe Encoder won’t even let them import either in order to be transcoded into something else.
I can use the native files that were saved to its hard drive which are .mts files, and the image appears fine, but I believe the colorspace of those is 4:2:0 compared to the .mov files which should be 4:2:2 colorspace(unless I’m wrong), so if I use the native files, I lose a little color(is it even noticeable?)
This may be seen on a movie screen, but my video is a horror movie with many dark areas anyway, so maybe it doesn’t matter? Suggestions?
Also, in the future, what format should I save the Panasonic files onto the cards as that will work properly with Premiere?
