    Hey everyone,

My client sent me an .mov file and wants it to run on a 42″ LCD TV using a DVD player. Do I need to render the .mov file as a mpeg2? Or what is the best way to show it with the best quality?

    Thanks again!

Yes, you will have to convert it to MPEG-2 (and AC3 audio) for DVD authoring and subsequent playback.

I do have DVD Architect, but I didn’t do Fill to Disk. It came out pretty good. A tad squashed top and bottom, but you can’t tell too much. My client created a .mov file using KeyNote (the Microsoft version of PowerPoint). So I don’t think he set it to the right aspect ratio. His images come out letterboxed on the sides. I put in a Flash file and it is letterboxed on the top and bottom. I set everything to DV NTSC Widescreen with the 1.21 pixel ratio.

Maybe I did something wrong. What can I say. I’m new.

You can also render to DVD compliant mpeg 2 and burn with Nero, Roxio or other burning software. The mpeg 2 and AC3 is the best for Archetect though.
