I was wondering if there was any information on editing in FCP using just the keyboard shortcuts.
Is it possible to do that without using a mouse at all?”Not really, but my advice to everyone editing with any NLE is to invest in a Wacom Tablet. I’ve been using tablets since 1996 and can’t work without them. No carpel tunnel syndrome, no wrist fatigue, nothing.
And the pen is incredible useful in Photoshop, Motion, and After Effects as well. All our workstations are equipped with tablets and when folks get used to them, they can’t stand going back to a mouse.

I have one at home, it’s small and a couple of years old.
I’ll give it a try!
Thanks.Laura

The more complicated your keyboard mapping is, the longer it will take you to rebuild it should your preferences get corrupted. (I also change my mapping fairly often; if I don’t use a mapped shortcut for a long time I don’t bother re-building it).
Make sure you save those customized settings, so you can move them from machine to machine, or re-load when necessary.
Next time you wash dishes, only use one hand. Yes, you can do it, but it’s miserable. Its the combination of hands that makes you fast and, more importantly, efficient.
I guess that was 3 cents.
Cheers.
