Mouse Pointer not changing to display segment mode any more
Help!
My Avid media composer crashed and i lost all my settings (handy).
I’ve reimported them all from another Avid however now the mouse pointer does not change to the red arrow or yellow broken arrow when I change modes.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Also, I accidentally hit ‘persist’ when the marquee/title tool was activated – I NEVER want the marquee tool and it keeps popping up now. I’ve changed the “ask me” option but the marquee is still coming up.

Recreate your user settings. It’s really the only way to know that they’re good. If you imported settings from another Avid and it’s a different version, weirdness might happen. The safest bet is to just make a new user, recreate everything, then save that to a disc or flashdrive. That way, if you lose them again, you can reload the settings created specifically for that version of Avid.
