    Mountain Lion compatible Serial-to-USB adaptor recommendation

    Can someone recommend a Serial-to-USB adaptor that is compatible with OS X Mountain Lion. I need deck control through Avid Media Composer. Thank you in advance,

    it would be easier for you to purchase an AJA or Blackmagic Capture card, which has RS422 built in.
    But if you want to stick with that old AVID hardware –
    you need a Keyspan USA-19HS, which is a USB to RS232 adaptor, and then this goes into an Addenda Electronics RS2/8, which is a RS232 -RS422 adaptor.
