Motion’s Text Animation “Flare In/Out”
Posted by Darren Williams on January 6, 2010 at 9:16 pmWhen I use Flare In effect with text, it pops from what looks like a Bolded text to a thin text (an abrupt cut, so unusable).
Anyone else have this problem, and/or have a solution?
Thanks

January 6, 2010 at 9:24 pmI just did a test and it looked great. Check it out.
It could be the font you are using. Did you mess with any of the settings?

January 7, 2010 at 8:54 pmIt must be the font. Your test looks fine, another font that uses Flare In/Out is fine, so I can only surmise that the font has an issue. I am using Weezer, but have also used the sister font, Century Gothic.
How do you insert video into a thread? I could show you.
Thanks,
D Williams

January 7, 2010 at 9:01 pm[Darren] How do you insert video into a thread?
Above where you type your response there is a bunch of icons. Click on the one that looks like a film camera. If you hover the mouse over it it will say, “Video Upload”. Upload the video. Once that is done you will see a section on the upload page that says “Embed”. It will have a bunch of code. Copy the code and then past it into your reply.

January 7, 2010 at 9:54 pmWow, that must be frustrating. Sorry it is doing that. I tried the Century Gothic font set to Bold and it worked great on my machine. I don’t have the Weezer font. Did you try the Century Gothic font with success?

December 31, 2010 at 12:47 amI recently ran into the “Flare In/Out” issue with the text suddenly going from bold to un-bold. I was able to correct the issue by adding a drop shadow to the text. You will find this setting in the Inspector under the “Text” tab and then the “Style” sub-tab. If you don’t want the drop shadow to show up, simply set its opacity to 0. I hope this helps.
