Motion2 on iMAC and HD
Looking to save some money… Left a company where I was editing on a Quad G5. I’ve recently been doing some quick work (nothing taxing) on a borrowed 20″iMac core duo. Looking at possibly purchasing the 24″core duo 2.93 iMac. Can’t realistically justify upgrading to 8GB of RAM for $1000… might just as well get the MacPro in that case.
QUESTION: Is anyone out there using after effects or Motion on a dual core iMac with 4GB of ram successfully? What about HD projects? Could I manage for a year or so until I start banking ome money to upgrade? any thoughts? thanks.
