    Hi there.
I have a scene with some blinking lights. Nothing moves.
I want to add motion blur to my renders, in AE [via RSMB pro]

The problem is, when I add motion blur directly, the “blinking” lights are colculated as a movement and results are really awful (weird blurrings around the lights)

So I decided to use a “motion vector” pass, exported from C4D.

But as I can see, it just calculates the movement of the objects ? Because I just have a camera movementst and all I see is a yellowish frame for 500 frames.

Unfortunately that’s a limitation of the motion vector pass — it doesn’t take camera animation into account. So, you can either render twice (once without the blinnking lights, then just the lights to composite over the blurred render), or do motion blur in Cinema.
