    Hi

I’m making a promo video for a golf company and I would like to add a glow trail to an animated glof ball. Somthing that is bright at the source (the ball) and gradulally fades toward the end.

If anyone has any suggestions or methods it would be most welcomed.

    Thanks

You could easily do this by creating a path and applying Vegas to it. Check the manual if you’re unsure of how to use Vegas or how to create a path.

Bill O’Neil‘s tutorial on rotoscoping with Vector Paint is probably what you’re looking for. It might get you started.

Alternatively, the Echo filter is also worth looking at. ALthough you may want to motion track the golfball, and apply the track to a white, masked solid which you could overlay and fiddle with that.

    Hope that helps
