ok, I’ve just recently begun using Mocha for After Effects, I know the basics of it, and can find my way around. I’m trying to replace the video on a tv screen that is flying through the air on a stand, the stand flies in and settles a few seconds into the video. pretty simple track right? not exactly, the reason why this is so interesting is because there is this like ‘shade’ on the tv which obscures some of the screen when the tv settles. So since the tracker loses sight of that corner of the screen the track goes wacky… any suggestions?

I guess what I’m asking is, with Mocha, is there a way to do a half track, or track just a piece then another separately then piece them together later? very open to suggestions, thanks…

Hi, for those frames where there is a shadow, keyframe your mask(s) to not include the trouble area before letting mocha make its calculations.
