motion tracking problem in Symphony 5.0.4 (Meridien)
Hey, folks.
I’m having a weird problem with the motion tracker that I have no idea how to fix. Hopefully you can help me.
It’s a pretty basic motion track. I am compositing a clip with an alpha channel matte over a video background and I need the composited clip to track the camera movement in the video. I apply the trackers on the alpha matte clip and generate tracking data based on reference points in the background video. The analysis goes fine and good data is generated. However, when I play back the relevant section of the sequence it’s as if the tracker data has not been applied to the matte clip at all… the background jostles around and the clip I applied motion tracking to simply sits there, moving not at all.
I can’t think of any steps I’m skipping or strange circumstances I need to remember to be aware of… I’ve tracked plenty of things in the past and have never had this problem. Yet here I am, wasting my entire day on a seemingly inexplicable failure to simply apply the generated tracking data to the clip that requires it.
Does anyone have any insight? I’m banging my head against the desk over here.
