I’m working on my showreel and am trying to place my works on a wall. Sounds easy, but there’s more to that.

I did a panoramic camera movement with the walls, and experimented with the motion tracking in all sorts of different ways but cannot seem to get my work to stay still, as if it was painted on the wall. I have a uploaded a video of the pan shots on youtube (link as below) for you guys to have a look. I did the very long and tedious way by adjusting the position bit by bit, but as you can see it’s very very dodgy.

Can somebody please give me a solution to this?

If you are using the standard motion tracker in AE you probably will have a lot of trouble getting it right. I think you should investigate 3-D motion tracking or, if you have the latest AE, you should use Mocha. The camera is very close to the wall so the perspective shifts are dramatic and are probably too much for the standard tracker.

That shot sure looks like something AEs built-in (pre CS4) can handle. Are you tracking RGB or luminance?
The tracker will sometimes nail-it first go, but other footage requires many attempts and trying different points.

Mocha AE is designed for exactly this kind of tracking.
