Motion Tracking: How to link a object which is not the tracked one?
Hello,
I have a video, its a landscape and the camera is moving from left to right. I want a flare appearing on the right side. There is one point which is always in the picture, I used this point to track the motion.
But the problem is, when I want to link optical flares with the tracking point, the flare is always ON the tracking point, but I want it a little bit more on the right side…How is it possible to link a Object which is not exactly on the tracking point?

From After Effects Help: You can apply the tracking data to a null object layer and parent the layer that you want to animate to the null object layer.
Apply the tracking data to a null and parent the flare to the null. Then offset the flare position.

^^ Yep. You can move the anchor point of the null to offset the flare but keep all the position keyframes in tact
