I was wondering if anyone is aware of a 3rd party filter that does motion tracking inside Motion?

I’m trying to create a zooming effect between two similar clips of an individual, one of them is a wide angle and one is tight. I’m using Trapcode’s Shine filter to help with the illusion of the zoom, despite using no camera zoom. The issue I’m having is aligning the two clips just right so there’s no added movement, and think this is where a motion filter would come in handy. Thanks!

I’ve not yet seen one working within Motion though the realtime feedback would be perfect for motion tracking. SynthEyes and PFHoe are the cheapest standalone trackers I know of.

Boris Continuum runs in Motion, uses some of the GPU horsepower (for some filters anyway), and does contain a motion tracker, but it may only be able to pass data to other Boris filters, I dunno

Thanks both of you for your help – I will look into those!
