    Gang,

I have this clip of a movie theatre markee.
Camera tilts down from the markee to follow an actress out of the theatre. I built a minitature of a Haunted House
I plan to put on top of the theatre to make for a more beliveable establishing shot of a spooky house. I want to pan down the still of the spooky House miniature with the theatre composited into the shot and then see the actress come out. I have to mask out the shy in the tilt down to allow the miniature to show through. How do I accomplish all this??

    Thanks!

I assume this is a night shot? If so- good luck rotoscoping every frame of your tilt to insert you house. If not- you may be able to key out a blue sky if there are minimal clouds. Once you have that, motion track the sign/whatever is visible during the tilt. If you don’t know how to motion track look a few threads down. I think someone posted a bunch of links to tutorials.

    Nate,

    It’s a Day Shot.

In masking out the sky of the pan down clip,
can I assign motion tracked keyframes to that sky mask
so I don’t have to roto every frame? Is this possible?

Then all I have to do is add my pan down of the haunted house on top
and I’m good to go. Is this OK?

    Thanks!

I’d love to find those links to learning motion tracking. I looked for them below but no luck. Do you know where to look?

    Thanks!

Thanks Yikes for taking over. I’ve been busy with a 25 hour film festival.
